3 Simple Resolutions for Success

Now is the time to make a fresh start and recommit to all the things that you think will make you better.  You may feel excited right now to begin again and feel like this time you will succeed, this time, this year is going to be different.  You look back over the past year and maybe feel a little unimpressed with the progress you had or maybe you are even saying "whoa where did that year go?"  Maybe you feel like a failure and like the things you commit to don't ever seem to hold, believe me you are not alone.  This is the reason the gym is so busy for the first two weeks of the year, yup it only lasts about two weeks.  Well this year I would like to suggest that you take a different approach instead of commiting to so much and then not following through.  Try changing just a few things, choose 3 small things you can do everyday that will bring you to a place of feeling better about yourself.  Stay commited to them by not allowing negative thought patterns talk you out of doing them.  I have noticed that when I follow through with things even when I don't feel like it, in the end I end up feeling better.  Choose 3 simple things that have to do with overall health and well being such as meditating 10 minutes per day, 10-20 minutes of a physical activity and 10-15 minutes spent doing what you are passionate about.  These 3 simple suggestions will truly have more of affect on your life than two hours spent at the gym beating yourself to death for the first two weeks.  Remember to embrace the things you truly enjoy and begin the process of letting go of negative self-talk.  When you don't follow through just begin again and don't listen to the evil monkey in your head telling you your a failure.  The problem with negative self-talk is it lowers your vibration and will cause you to do things and feel things you wouldn't be feeling if you just gave yourself a break.  You are always growing and expanding, even if you don't feel like you are.  This life is a journey that should be celebrated and when you are beating yourself up you block the access you have to the joy.  Make the most important thing this year that you feel good and allow yourself to take part in things you enjoy, it will raise your vibration and trickle down into the rest of your life so that next year you can look back and say, "yea that was a great year!"
